The escape is total in this incredible natural domain in the heart of the mountains. Straddling Béarn and the Basque Country, the Issarbe resort offers a breathtaking 360° view of the peaks. Put on your cross-country skis to slide down the 31 km of trails divided into 6 marked and secure trails on the ridges or in the forest. Snowshoe enthusiasts can walk in the snow for 9 km, or book a night hike accompanied by an experienced guide. Cross-country skiing is the main attraction of the Issarbe resort, which also offers family activities once you take off your skis. Push your kids down the toboggan runs, have a snow fight by building an igloo and pet the dogs after a dog sled ride.

The Nordic area of Somport

Somport is a renowned area for cross-country skiing, with 34 km of trails divided between France and Spain. The Spaniards, also fans of this sport, slide all winter on the 6 slopes dedicated to Nordic skiing in the heart of the Pyrenees National Park. Hiking enthusiasts will be delighted once they have their snowshoes on their feet. These are loops of 5 to 7 km which are drawn in the snow through a magnificent forest. The white landscapes with bluish reflections are incredible and offer a unique feeling of freedom. Let yourself be carried away by the calm and serenity of the Nordic area of Somport, and end the day with a sled ride , an activity adored by children that awakens the child's soul of parents.

The Nordic area of Pierre Saint Martin

Come ski in a dream setting, on a natural and protected site where the Braca forest rises. This hilly area offers magnificent hikes through century-old pines and lapiaz, with breathtaking panoramas at every step. The 25 km of marked trails allow athletes to practice alternative cross-country skiing, skating and snowshoe hiking, as well as many other activities. Don't miss the unmissable dog sled baptism, a fun family outing surrounded by snowy landscapes. Cycling enthusiasts will be able to pedal hoisted on fat bikes, mountain bikes with huge tires that roll easily on the snow. Of course, you can't come to winter sports without hurtling down a toboggan run, especially since at the Pierre Saint Martin Nordic area, tubing buoys are available for a fun slide.
