    • The Château de Laàs Museum, a magnificent place to visit near Pau

Take a trip back in time with a visit to a completely reconstructed 18th century bourgeois house . In a majestic setting in the heart of 12 hectares of a wooded park, the residence stands out as a major element not to be missed. Experience a unique moment at Château de Laàs, 1 hour from Pau in Béarn-Pyrénées, you will love it.

The Château de Laàs Museum, the essential visit to the property

Discover the French art of living in the 18th century through a manor house fitted out and decorated as in the period. Furniture, tapestries or paintings, the collections are incredible, made up of exceptional pieces brought together by the former owners named Serbat. Open from Easter to All Saints' Day, the Château de Laàs Museum can be discovered during a one-hour guided tour for groups of up to 25 people in French, English or Spanish. Discover this large bourgeois house as if you were living in the 18th century and admire the magnificent paintings by masters such as Ruben, Brueghel or Lebrun. The second part of the Château de Laàs is dedicated to a more historical part on the counts of the Empire and the children of Napoleon, a lesser known part of the Napoleonic empire. Want to know more? Reserve Sunday for a 1.5 hour visit to the entire Château.

The Château de Laàs Museum, the discovery of a unique place near Pau

The day continues after the guided tour of the Château de Laàs with fun and varied activities. Younger children will love the Château des Enigmes, a fun treasure hunt where the 5 senses are awakened in search of clues to recover the grimoire of Willy, the sorcerer's apprentice. Older children, for their part, can experience a unique game space in the rooms of the Castle, in search of the stolen diamond or how to join a wizard school. With family or friends, the day will be too short to enjoy all the activities. That's good, unusual rentals are offered in the 12-hectare wooded park of Château de Laàs. Immerse yourself in nature before continuing your visit.

Great location for a family to spend entire day! They also propose a game (parcours) which will keep you and especially kids busy discovering the places of the garden and chateau for at least 2 hours!

Brilliant place to go with the children. Clues are written in English, French a d Spanish, bar one which is listening. The grounds are beautiful and the whole thing has been well thought out. The tour of the chateau is an extra charge. The food provided at the cafe is limited, but there are excellent picnic facilities.
