The Maison Carrée, a Renaissance mansion, takes you into a timeless atmosphere. You will wander through corridors and covered galleries from another era, contemplate the harmony of the volumes, discover the history of the region and be amazed by the temporary exhibitions.
The Museum of Industry is dedicated to the contemporary period. From the end of the 18th century to the present day : techniques, know-how, and textile production around the main themes of wool (beret, Pyrenean wool, capulet, etc.), linen (Basque linen, espadrilles, etc.), and hemp.
You will learn that furniture manufacturers even furnished the salons of the Titanic and the palaces of the Middle East. That our Piedmontese peasants did not just plow their fields but also made in workshops the famous boxwood beads for the rosaries of Lourdes or...
