In northern Béarn, on the Madiran and Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh wine-growing region, Lake Aydie is an irrigation body of water. The lake is nestled below the sunny hillsides, where the lines of vines of Pacherenc de Vic-Bilh stretch as far as the eye can see, just interspersed with small groves. It is a very pleasant place to walk. Many fish have colonized the body of water and you can also fish there. However, this is not its primary purpose and there are many restrictions.
