The Ossau Valley is one of the three great valleys of Béarn. It stretches from Col du Pourtalet in the town of Laruns, on the Spanish border, to Arudy, on the outskirts of Pau.
The meadows and mountain lawns are crossed by the Gaves d'Ossau, Brousset and many streams.
The Ossau Valley is also very famous for Canyoning.

This large valley is therefore a land of pasture and the pastoral tradition is strong there. You will visit charming Pyrenean villages and shepherds'huts. Do not miss to taste the delicious cheeses of Béarn and, in particular, the summer cheeses, with such a floral taste and such a delicate fragrance.

The Ossau Nature Reserve aims to protect the last specimens of griffon vultures, nesting on the cliffs of Castet. The entire Ossau Valley is also part of the Pyrenees National Park , preserving all the local flora and fauna, typical of the Pyrenean mountains of Béarn.
