    • La Table de l'Aubisque, a pleasant restaurant for a break in the Pyrenees

Hikers, bikers, cyclists, families and groups of friends, you will love sitting down facing the mountains for lunch. It is at the Col d'Aubisque in Béost that the restaurant welcomes you from May until October in a magnificent setting in the Pyrenees.

La Table de l'Aubisque, a high-altitude restaurant ideal for meeting in the Pyrenees

You will be won over from the moment you welcome us to this friendly, family-run address which offers simple and traditional cuisine, perfect for recharging after a great day. On the menu, croques monsieur, omelettes, salads, fries and charcuterie boards to share, generous and gourmet recipes to taste. Don't forget dessert : blueberry pie or Basque cake, a specialty of the region. Open from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., the Col de l'Aubisque restaurant also serves afternoon tea with pancakes, ice cream, hot or cold drinks as well as beer and wine. Settle in, the large room is ideal for warming up, while the outdoor terrace is pleasant when the weather permits.

La Table de l'Aubisque, a restaurant with adjoining shop in the Pyrenees

Once lunch is over, don't hesitate to take a look at the shop next door, adjacent to the restaurant. You will find lovely souvenirs on site to offer, including cheeses, beer, wine, sausage, pâté and even honey, regional products mostly coming from the Ossau Valley. Don't hesitate to turn around to admire a breathtaking view of the Pyrenees. Make a reservation at the Table de l'Aubisque restaurant and combine business with pleasure with a delicious lunch followed by shopping at the boutique. As the network is limited, it is best to book by text message or via social networks to be sure to contact them. Beautiful day at the Col de l’Aubisque!

This is the second visit in a few years and wasn't disappointed. Bear in mind this is a small bar/resto at the top of a mountain. It's simple stuff, a bit pricier than normal (it's at the top of a mountain) but it's a haven for cyclists/walkers. When I first stepped foot in the place 3 years ago during the Raid Pyrenean it was a chilly and wet Sept morning. To stop and have hot food and drink, dry out and find the courage to go back into it was dreamy! Really friendly staff, very attentive and always interested. It was exactly the same during this trip. It's a great hill to climb in either direction and the resto at the top adds a nice touch.

Food was excellent and the English speaking waitress made the experience much easier. The views were spectacular!

Col d'Aubisque (1,709 m) is a mountain pass in the Pyrenees on the northern slopes of the Pic de Ger (2,613 m). The road crosses the Cirque du Litor, in the upper part of the Ouzom valley. It is generally closed from December to June. The pass is starting point of excursions and a centre for winter sports. In summer, it is popular with cyclists. It is regularly part of the Tour de France, generally rated an hors catégorie climb.

See, see, change of ownership! The family spirit, the desire to do well, the smile, diligent service, simple "homemade" dishes, and bonus a sumptuous natural setting... Good luck to this shock team.
