  I recently had a very disappointing experience with the Constanti des Halles bakery in Pau. Being used to good quality in some of their other bakeries, I ordered 24 croissants and pain au chocolat during a visit to La Rochelle, proud to introduce my friends to their pastries. Unfortunately, the quality was mediocre: the puff pastry was not good and the whole thing lacked flavor. Half of the pastries ended up in the trash, they were so disappointing. When I returned to the bakery to report the problem, they explained to me that the pastries were made in two different locations, but without showing the slightest consideration or desire for a commercial gesture. In addition, the welcome, particularly in the bakery on Boulevard des Pyrénées, really leaves something to be desired. The staff is neither warm nor pleasant, which is a shame for an establishment of this reputation. I sincerely hope that efforts will be made to improve the quality of products and service.

  Very big disappointment! I ordered a Basque pastry cream cake, an order error, I was served a chocolate Basque cake.
